The 2026 Ojude Oba festival made the news once again for its elegant display of tradition, culture, and fashion. Held at the Awujale Pavilion in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, the festival was a runway for exquisite aso-oke designs carefully curated with the latest accessories that spoke class, opulence, and style.
Some of the dignitaries at the event were Governor Dapo Abiodun, Seyi Tinubu, Eniola Badmus, and Jide Awobona. One of its popular attendees, who is dubbed the king of steeze, Farooq Oreagba, stole the show with his horse-riding display, magnificent agbada, exclusive beads, and stunning glasses. His aura exuded confidence and royalty, making him the topic of discussion among netizens.
The women brought in their A-game as they rocked the latest aso-oke ensembles that made them the cynosure of eyes. Their daunting “geles” and signature glasses mesmerised netizens and proved why Ojude Oba is one of the biggest festivals in Nigeria.
Interestingly, the women delivered some fashion goals in their sophisticated designs. They added spice to the occasion with their regal looks and dashing poses. This edition is quite memorable because the attendees did not come to play. They gave fashionistas a run for their money with their show-stopping attire, which was a blend of ancient and modern styles.
As expected, several photographers were on the ground to capture the grand event. The coordination among the attendees was noteworthy – it was a beautiful formation of colours, styles, and glamour.
Ojude Oba is a reflection that ancient culture can be preserved with modern styles, and it can also captivate young minds with a blend of innovation and incredible aesthetics. More so, it flaunts the rich Yoruba heritage, making it enticing to others outside the region.
