THE Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the commencement of the physical screening and document verification phase for the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise into paramilitary services.

Secretary to the Board, Major-General Ahmed Jibril (rtd) made the announcement in a press statement Saturday night in Abuja.

The board directed all candidates who participated in the online Computer-Based Test (CBT) held in November 2025 to verify their shortlisting status through its official portal between Monday, 15 June and Friday, 20 June 2026.

According to the board, successful applicants will be required to log onto the designated recruitment portal using their original application numbers, upload their academic credentials, and select a preferred date and venue for the physical verification exercise.

The management strongly warned applicants against patronising employment racketeers, emphasizing that the recruitment portal does not require any financial transaction to clear candidates for the subsequent stages.

“The Board wishes to emphasize that the recruitment process is completely free hence, no fee should be paid by applicants to any individual, agent, group or organization claiming to render assistance with shortlisting, venue allocation, document upload, access to screening venue, or final selection,” the statement contains.

Major-General Jibril urged the public to disregard unsolicited shortlisting messages, fraudulent web links, and impostors claiming to represent the board, maintaining that all legitimate operational updates would be broadcast strictly through verified channels.

He added that the board remains fully committed to conducting the multi-agency exercise in a transparent, credible, and merit-based manner, in strict consonance with extant civil service rules guiding public sector recruitment processes.
