BAT lawyers back Hamzat-Sonayon-James ticket for 2027 guber polls
The Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, has said that Lagos State Deputy Governor, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, is very intelligent and hardworking, and has a huge capacity to govern the state, even though he once opposed his quest to become governor of the state.

Akiolu stated this yesterday, when Hamzat paid homage to the monarch’s palace en route to his visit to Iga-Egbe, Lagos Island, which is his maternal root.

Oba Akiolu, therefore, urged him to ensure that he keeps his head down when he emerges as governor and not abandon all those who work for his party.

In his response, Hamzat described the visit as a reaffirmation of cultural heritage and political inclusiveness.

Also, the Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) Lawyers Group has endorsed the governorship ticket of Hamzat and Damilola Sonayon-James for the 2027 election, urging legal professionals and other stakeholders to mobilise support for the APC’s candidates.

She said the event went beyond a routine political exercise, representing a collective affirmation of confidence in the APC ticket.

Also speaking, Dr Seun Akapo, who represented Sonayon-James, expressed appreciation to the BAT lawyers for their support, describing the endorsement as a gathering of legal professionals committed to justice and good governance.
