Election personnel and materials have commenced movement to Polling Units in Ekiti South West Local Government Area (LGA) as preparations continue for the Ekiti State Governorship Election.
In a post on its official X account on Saturday, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reported that the movement began at 6:15 a.m.
“The movement began at approximately 6:15 a.m., marking another critical step in ensuring the timely opening of polls across the LGAs,” INEC wrote.
The update highlights ongoing preparations to ensure timely poll openings, with the image showing officials in high-visibility vests loading green ballot boxes and vehicles at an early morning distribution site.
Meanwhile, there have been public calls for free, fair, and transparent voting, as the incumbent All Progressives Congress (APC) Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, seeks re-election against multiple candidates across the state’s 16 LGAs.
