Former Governor, Ayodele Fayose has expressed delight at a massive voter turnout at Afao-Ekiti in Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area of Ekiti State, his hometown, declaring that victory is sure for governor Biodun Oyebanji.

Fayose arrived at his polling unit at St David’s Primary School, Afao-Ekiti which served as the collation centre of the ward at 8:50AM with his son, Bolu Fayose, the House of Assembly candidate of All Progressives Congress(APC), Irepodun/Ifelodun Constituecy II.

They were accredited at 8:53PM by an INEC official using the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System(BVAS) before they were handed over ballots to cast their votes.

Speaking after he voted, Ayodele Fayose predicted a landslide victory for the candidate of the APC, Abiodun Oyebanji.

According to him, so far so good there is no incident, no issue, no disruption and it has a clear resemblance to a process that will be credible. The INEC are alert to its duties, this is an improvement from the past.

“Oyebanji has already won the election if you look at the state of things in the state and the body language of the people. I am predicting an overwhelming victory for him.”

He lauded the conduct of security operatives, saying “They are doing very well, you can see that they have enough men on the ground. They conduct themselves very well and they take no side in the exercise.”

He urged political actors to embrace the outcome of the exercise by allowing the state to move past voting and go to the act of governance.
