Favour Ashe, Chidera Ezeakor, Fakorede Adekalu, Tejiri Godwin, and Enoch Adegoke, on Monday, qualified for the semi-finals of the men’s 100m event at the ongoing National Athletics Trials taking place at the Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) Sports Complex in Lagos.

Ashe recorded the fastest time in the heats, clocking 10.24 seconds to lead the field. He was closely followed by Chidera Ezeakor, who posted a time of 10.26 seconds, while Fakorede Adekalu finished in 10.29 seconds.

Tejiri Godwin also secured qualification after running 10.31 seconds, while Enoch Adegoke crossed the line in 10.42 seconds.

The impressive performances have set the stage for an exciting semi-final showdown, with athletics enthusiasts eagerly anticipating a fiercely contested race for places in the final and potential national team selection.
