Forensics summit begins in Lagos as experts discuss justice reforms

The 2026 Forensics Summit, organised by the International Academy of Forensics (IAF) in collaboration with The Guardian Newspaper, is set to commence today in Lagos.

The four-day event will be held at the Tayo Aderinokun Auditorium, Guest Houses and Conference Centre, located behind the Faculty of Law, near the Senate House at the University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba.

With the theme, “Forensic Investigation and Criminal Intelligence: Strengthening the Administration of Justice in the Age of Technological Advancement,” the summit is expected to attract a wide range of stakeholders across the justice sector.

Participants will include forensic experts, legal practitioners, law enforcement and security professionals, academics, policymakers, and other key actors involved in criminal justice administration.

The summit aims to promote the use of scientific evidence, enhance professional standards, and encourage innovation and collaboration in forensic practice.

The programme will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions, technical workshops, and networking sessions designed to deepen understanding of emerging trends in forensic investigation and criminal intelligence.
