Renewed Hope Initiative on third anniversary

The First Lady of Zamfara State, Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has commended the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), for its transformative impact on the lives of Nigerians, particularly vulnerable groups, since its establishment three years ago.

This was contained in statement issued by the spokesperson of Zamfara First Lady, Comrade Rabi Yusuf, saying that Huriyya gave the commendation while attending the third anniversary celebration of the Renewed Hope Initiative held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The Zamfara First Lady noted that under the leadership of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and National Chairman of the Renewed Hope Initiative, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the Initiative has emerged as a beacon of hope for millions of Nigerians through strategic interventions aimed at improving the welfare of women, youths, children, the elderly, persons living with disabilities and other vulnerable groups.

She observed that over the past three years, the Initiative has recorded remarkable achievements across the country, through programmes focused on educational scholarships, agricultural support, business recapitalization grants, healthcare interventions, food security initiatives and economic empowerment schemes designed to improve livelihoods and promote self-reliance among beneficiaries.

Zamfara First Lady further applauded the Initiative’s impressive reach in the Federal Capital Territory, where more than 27,000 residents across the six Area Councils have benefitted from various empowerment programmes, describing the achievement as a clear demonstration of the Initiative’s commitment to grassroots development and inclusive growth.

She also commended Senator Oluremi Tinubu for her dedication to empowering women and young girls through initiatives such as the Dream Girls Project, which seeks to build confidence, nurture character and inspire girls to aspire to greater heights in life.

According to her, the Renewed Hope Initiative has continued to complement government efforts in addressing socio-economic challenges, while restoring hope and dignity to vulnerable Nigerians across the country.

“The achievements recorded by the Renewed Hope Initiative within three years are testimony to the vision, compassion and dedication of our mother of the nation, Senator Oluremi Tinubu. Through her leadership, countless Nigerians have benefitted from life-changing interventions that continue to promote social inclusion, economic empowerment and national development,” she added.

She also lauded Senator Tinubu’s commitment to inspiring the next generation of female leaders, noting her call on young women and girls to dream big, remain focused and prepare themselves for leadership and success through hard work, determination and vision.

The anniversary celebration featured goodwill messages, presentations showcasing the achievements of the Renewed Hope Initiative over the past three years and recognition of its contributions towards improving the wellbeing of Nigerians across the country.

The Zamfara First Lady reaffirmed her support for programmes and initiatives that promote social development, women empowerment, quality healthcare, education, and sustainable economic growth.
