The Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), under the Presidency, has honoured the Kogi State Coordinator of the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) Project, Barr. Ladi Ahmed Jatto, with the Distinguished Public Service Award for Institutional Performance and Service Delivery.

The award was presented during the Nigeria Public Service Lecture Series and Awards held to commemorate the United Nations Public Service Day.

According to a statement by the Director-General of the BPSR, D.I. Arabi, Jatto emerged as one of the award recipients after a rigorous merit-based selection process involving stakeholder nominations and independent performance assessments.

She was selected from a highly competitive pool of Heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) across her geopolitical zone.

A recipient of the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON), conferred by former President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023, Jatto dedicated the latest recognition to the Kogi ACReSAL team and the people of Kogi State.

“This award belongs to every member of the Kogi ACReSAL team who works tirelessly to ensure our interventions reach the farmers, communities and vulnerable groups we serve,” she said. “It will further inspire us to deepen reforms and improve service delivery for greater impact.”

She also expressed appreciation to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his administration’s unwavering support for the ACReSAL Project, noting that the Governor’s commitment to environmental sustainability and rural development has provided the enabling environment for the project’s achievements.
