Winter Place CEO bags Most Outstanding Igbo Personality in Business Award

The Chief Executive Officer of Winter Place, Engineer Obi Njoku, has been honoured with the Most Outstanding Igbo Personality of the Year in Business by the Igbo Prestigious Awards Initiative, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to business development, entrepreneurship and economic advancement within the Igbo nation.

 

The award was presented to him by former Inspector General of Police, Chief Mike Okiro at a colourful ceremony in Abuja, where several distinguished personalities from different sectors were also recognised for their contributions to society.

 

 

Speaking shortly after receiving the award, Engr. Njoku expressed profound gratitude to the organisers for finding him worthy of the recognition. He described the honour as both humbling and motivating, noting that it would strengthen his resolve to continue promoting entrepreneurship, supporting innovation and creating opportunities that would positively impact businesses and young entrepreneurs.

 

 

He said the recognition was not only a personal achievement but also a reflection of the collective efforts of the Winter Place team, whose dedication and commitment have contributed significantly to the company’s growth and success.

 

 

According to him, the award serves as an encouragement to remain focused on delivering excellence and expanding initiatives that stimulate economic development.

 

 

Njoku further reaffirmed his commitment to empowering entrepreneurs, supporting enterprise development and contributing to initiatives that foster sustainable economic prosperity.

The organisers said the award was in recognition of Engr. Njoku’s exemplary leadership, entrepreneurial excellence and his sustained contributions to the growth of indigenous enterprise, describing him as one of the leading business figures shaping the economic fortunes of the Igbo people and Nigeria at large.

 

 

A graduate of the Mechanical Engineering Department of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Engr. Njoku has over 15 years of professional experience spanning diverse areas of engineering and business development.

 

 

He is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE) and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

 

 

The organisers honoured winners across several categories, including Governor of the South East of the Year, Best South East Governor in Infrastructural Development, Best Governor in Security, Outstanding Igbo Person in Trade and Investment, Politics, Education, Entertainment, Health, Religion, Culture and Tradition, Humanitarian Services and Community Development, Public Service, Akuruo-Ulo Person of the Year, People’s Person in Igbo Land, and the Friends of Ndigbo Award.
