Global consumer electronics firm, TCL, has deepened its presence in the Nigerian market with the unveiling of a range of AI-enabled consumer electronics to help Nigerian consumers experience a more comfortable lifestyle.
The firm also reaffirmed its goal to develop local technical expertise through training, partnerships, and after-sales support initiatives.
The new products, which were launched at the weekend, included TCL SQD-Mini LED TV, FreshIN 3.0 smart air conditioners, smart refrigerators and C5 washing machines, designed to make everyday living simpler, more comfortable and enjoyable for Nigerian customers.
Speaking at the launch in Lagos, the company’s West Africa Marketing Head, Daniel Ray, said that these products reflect TCL’s commitment to innovation, energy efficiency, and improved user experience for Nigerian consumers.
He noted that the Nigerian market is one of the important markets in the Middle East and Africa region, justifying why the firm decided to launch its latest global innovations in the country.
He emphasised that all the newly launched products are powered by AI, enabling them to adapt to user behaviour and optimise performance, particularly in energy consumption.
Giving further details about the product, he said the FreshIN 3.0 smart air conditioners deliver up to 75 per cent energy savings over conventional models and more than 37 per cent additional savings over standard inverter units.
He added that the air conditioner features offline voice control, self-cleaning technology and fresh-air purification, while supporting Google Home, Alexa and the TCL Home app.
Ray noted that while the products are currently imported into Nigeria, there are prospects for future local assembly, which could contribute to job creation and industrial growth.
