The Chief Executive Officer of Dee Utensils, Amb. Lois Ihwo, joined hundreds of Christian women in Abuja for the Pregnant and Waiting Mothers Prayer Conference, a faith-based gathering dedicated to strengthening the spiritual lives of women and seeking God’s intervention for families.
The conference, which attracted women from different walks of life, featured powerful sessions of prayer, worship and exhortation led by renowned ministers, including Evangelist Elisabeth Nkwocha of Lagos, guest speaker Dr. Hauwa Briggs and gospel music minister Eunice Morgan.
During the programme, fervent prayers were offered for women trusting God for the fruit of the womb, while expectant mothers received prayers for safe pregnancies and successful deliveries.
Ihwo, a mother blessed with both biological and adopted children, added warmth and inspiration to the event as she joined fellow worshippers in heartfelt prayers and fellowship, encouraging women to remain steadfast in faith regardless of their circumstances.
She also joined in the launch and supported a Christian women book which unveiled at the event.
Speaking on the sidelines of the conference, Ihwo called on women to cultivate a culture of spiritual support and encouragement for one another rather than competition.
She stressed that every woman’s journey is unique and urged those trusting God for children not to lose hope, noting that faith, perseverance and mutual love remain essential in navigating life’s challenges.
She further commended the organisers for creating a platform that ministers to the emotional, spiritual and psychological needs of women. According to her, gatherings such as the prayer conference provide hope, healing and renewed confidence for families while reminding participants that they are not alone in their struggles.
“Every woman has a unique journey, and we become stronger when we lift one another up in prayer, love and genuine encouragement. As women, we must continue to create spaces where faith is strengthened, hope is renewed and lives are transformed. When women unite spiritually, families, communities and nations become better for it”, she said.
The conference was convened by Apostle Oluchi Elkuris and brought together women professionals, entrepreneurs, business leaders, ministers of the Gospel and other participants from diverse backgrounds, all united by a shared commitment to deepening their relationship with God and interceding for families across the nation.
Participants described the gathering as a refreshing moment of spiritual renewal, fellowship and encouragement, expressing hope that its impact would continue to inspire women to grow in faith while supporting one another in their individual journeys.
