COMPTROLLER Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, (NCS) Adewale Adeniyi, has charged fresh graduands from the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada, in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, to uphold highest standards of professionalism and discipline in the discharge of their statutory duties.
Represented by the Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs Sulaiman Chiroma, Adeniyi congratulated the personnel on completing one of the service’s most demanding professional training programmes.
He said “To whom much is given, much is expected. I urge you to remain mission focused and continue to serve the nation with honesty, integrity and dedication.”
A statement issued by the National Public Relations Officer of the NCS, Abdullahi Maiwada, noted that the officers successfully completed the rigorous Senior Course 14/2026.
Two officers from the service’s public relations unit, Chief Superintendent of Customs (CSC) Ridwan Yusuf and CSC Nuruddeen Sa’idu, emerged as the overall best and second best graduating students, respectively.
Earlier, the Commandant of the College, Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs Duwoh Gaura, reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to producing competent officers.
He noted that the training strictly aligns with the Comptroller General’s core vision of a more efficient, technology-driven, and highly professional customs administration.
Maiwada further disclosed that the graduation, which was preceded by a regimental dinner in honour of the officers on Wednesday, marks another significant milestone in the service’s commitment to developing highly skilled personnel capable of meeting the evolving complex demands of border management, national security, and trade facilitation.
