…outlines agriculture, security, job creation as priorities
The Nigeria Democratic Congress candidate for Ogun Central Senatorial District, Dr. Rotimi George-Taylor, yesterday expressed confidence that he would defeat the All Progressive Congress Candidate, Senator Shuaib Salisu and Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Iyabo Obasanjo in 2027 elections.
George-Taylor said that with the growing popularity of NDC in the state and his wealth of experience in politics, he was certain he would defeat both candidates of APC and PDP in the forthcoming elections, because the two parties had failed the people woefully.
He disclosed this in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, while expressing concern about the current challenges of insecurity, economic hardship bedeviling the nation, insisting that NDC remains the only alternative party to save Nigerians from her difficulties.
“With my wealth of experience in politics and the growing popularity of NDC in Ogun State, I am confident that I will defeat senator Shuaib Salisu and Iyabo Obasanjo in Ogun Central Senatorial District.” he noted.
George-Taylor who contested in 2023 under the platform of Labour Party(LP) also reeled out some of his plans on agriculture, security, education as well as bringing in investors to create jobs in Ogun Central Senatorial District if elected in 2027
“What is see that Ogun Central have been very unfortunate, they have not had representative at all, I will move my representative closer to the people and make them feel the impact of constituency projects.”
“During the last elections, I distributed fertilizers to farmers with my own money to ensure food security, for instance when the farmers plant tomatoes you can move a company that have immediate needs of the produce to them before they take them to Lagos.”
“I will also ensure security of lives and properties, rehabilitate roads, support education and bring in investors to create companies for jobs. And I think our people should vote for the right people that will make the right change.” he added.
