Pastor Bolaji Idowu, founder of Harvesters International Christian Centre (HICC), is reviewing legal options following media reports that incorrectly described his appearance before police investigators as an arrest.
Sources indicate Pastor Idowu is concerned that several reports misrepresented his engagement with the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), which he attended following an official invitation.
According to sources, Pastor Idowu fully cooperated with authorities and provided all requested information, as confirmed in the interim investigators’ report.
This development follows an interim police report clarifying that the church is not linked to the allegations and does not identify Pastor Idowu among the referenced parties.
Sources close to Pastor Idowu state that his legal advisers are reviewing publications that described his appearance as an arrest and are considering formal complaints and other remedies where inaccuracies are found.
Church supporters have welcomed the clarification, emphasising that public reporting should have accurately distinguished between a police invitation and an arrest.
Pastor Idowu, who also convenes the widely attended Next Level Prayer Conference, has continued his ministry activities while cooperating with investigators as authorities conclude their work.
