Female members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State have vowed to deliver 95 per cent of their votes to President Bola Tinubu in the forthcoming 2027 presidential election.

The women, operating under the aegis of the Women Wing of the Asiwaju Mandate Group (AMG), disclosed this during a solidarity meeting at the group’s secretariat in Akure, the state capital, drawing participants from all 18 local council areas of the state.

During the gathering, the women commended the party’s national leadership for what they described as a courageous and equitable approach to managing the National Assembly candidates’ list for the state.

While speaking at the event, a three-time commissioner in the state, Yetunde Adeyanju, who led the women’s delegation, appreciated Tinubu and the APC National Working Committee (NWC) for upholding the principles of fairness, justice, and internal democracy in the party’s affairs.

Adeyanju noted that the party leadership’s handling of the candidate selection process had rekindled the confidence of women and grassroots members in the APC, while expressing optimism that beneficiaries of the National Assembly tickets would justify the trust placed in them through quality representation and unwavering loyalty to the party.

The former commissioner stated that the group had resolved to embark on an extensive mobilisation campaign across all 18 local council areas to ensure electoral support for Tinubu and the APC in the 2027 general elections.

She said, “We want to assure our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the National Working Committee of our total support. The decisions taken have strengthened the confidence of party members, and we are committed to working tirelessly to deliver not less than 95 per cent of the votes for Mr President in Ondo State in the 2027 presidential election.”

The women also hailed the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, describing him as a leader of uncommon political dexterity whose vision, courage, and exceptional capacity for bridge-building have continued to strengthen the progressive family in Ondo State.

Adeyanju commended the minister’s inclusive leadership style and unwavering commitment to the ideals of the APC, noting that he has remained a rallying point for party leaders, members, and stakeholders across diverse political tendencies within the state.

“BTO’s humility, accessibility and ability to inspire unity have made him the most influential pillar of the party in Ondo State. We urge him to please continue providing the leadership and direction that have earned him widespread admiration within the APC and beyond.”

The Director General of the AMG, Olumuyiwa Asagunla, who was present at the gathering, lauded the women for their steadfast commitment to the ideals of the progressive family and their continued support for President Tinubu.

Asagunla charged the women to remain united, disciplined, and committed to grassroots mobilisation, describing them as the backbone of every successful political movement.

He further urged them to sustain their engagement with communities across the state by promoting the achievements of the Tinubu administration and strengthening the structures of the APC at the ward and local government levels.
