…APC National Organizing Secretary, Chairs the Event
A support group for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State has formally launched the APC 1 Million Solidarity Votes Project in Southern Kaduna, a strategic grassroots mobilisation initiative aimed at galvanising support and securing one million solidarity votes across the zone’s ten local government areas ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
The project, inaugurated in Kafanchan on Saturday, seeks to strengthen the party’s structures and consolidate support for the APC and its candidates in the next general election. According to the organisers, the movement will cover Sanga, Jama’a, Kaura, Kauru, Zangon Kataf, Jaba, Kagarko, Kachia, Kajuru, and Chikun Local Government Areas.
The APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, OFR, who was invited to serve as Chairman of the Occasion, was represented at the event by the Director of Election Management at the APC National Headquarters, Tasiu Mohammed.
Delivering the National Organising Secretary’s address, Mohammed commended the leadership of the APC 1 Million Solidarity Votes Movement for initiating what he described as a visionary grassroots mobilisation project that aligns with the party’s commitment to strengthening its support base through community engagement.
He noted that elections are won through effective grassroots mobilisation and described the movement’s resolve to mobilise one million solidarity votes across Southern Kaduna as a clear demonstration of confidence in the leadership and vision of the APC.
“As we gradually approach the 2027 General Elections, every member has a responsibility to strengthen our structures, expand our support base, and promote peaceful political participation,” he said.
He further urged members of the movement to remain united, law-abiding, and committed to issue-based politics while using the initiative as a platform to encourage youth participation, women’s empowerment, and inclusive political engagement.
Tasiu Mohammed also reaffirmed the commitment of the APC National Working Committee, under the leadership of National Chairman Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, to supporting genuine grassroots initiatives capable of promoting party cohesion and electoral success.
He thereafter formally declared the APC 1 Million Solidarity Votes Project, Southern Kaduna Zone, officially launched and inaugurated on behalf of the National Organising Secretary.
The event attracted a broad spectrum of government officials, party leaders, and stakeholders from across the Southern Kaduna Zone.
Among those present were representatives of the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State and the Honourable Minister of Defence. Also in attendance were the Kaduna State Commissioner for Justice, the Head of Service, Special Advisers, and Special Assistants to the Kaduna State Governor.
The APC’s party structure was strongly represented, with executives from the ward and local government levels across the ten local government areas of Southern Kaduna participating alongside community leaders, political stakeholders, and party faithful.
The organisers stated that the initiative was conceived to deepen grassroots mobilisation, consolidate party unity, and inspire greater participation by members in preparation for the 2027 elections.
