Managing Director of Aero Contractors, Ado Sanusi, has called for stronger collaboration between the Federal government and private-sector operators.

Sanusi said such partnerships were important to accelerating the growth of Nigeria’s aviation industry and driving national economic development.

Sanusi made the call when the Special Adviser to the President on Policy Coordination and Head of the Central Results Delivery Coordination Unit (CRDCU), Hadiza Usman, paid a working visit to Aero Contractors’ facilities, including its Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) centre.

During the visit, Usman toured the airline’s MRO facility, where she interacted with management and engineering personnel to better understand how government policies could better support private investment in the aviation sector.

Speaking after the visit, Sanusi described the engagement as encouraging, noting that direct interaction between policymakers and industry players would help create a more enabling environment for business growth.

According to him, Usman’s keen interest in the challenges and opportunities within the aviation industry demonstrated her commitment to improving government policies that would enhance sectoral performance.

The Aero Contractors boss stressed that meaningful engagement between public officials and private-sector operators would foster practical solutions that boost investment, improve service delivery, and strengthen the industry’s contribution to Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

He expressed optimism about the aviation sector’s future, describing Usman as a dedicated public servant committed to delivering measurable results.
