The General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry worldwide, Pastor William F. Kumuyi has called on the gospel ministers not to use their positions to be exploiting the weak people, but to do everything possible to alleviate the poor followers in the body of Christ.
Speaking at the All Believers’ Conference in Otukpo, Benue state,
Kumuyi explained that they should not be calling the people to sow seeds, rather, they must remember the poor membership by giving them a helping hand to survive the difficult times in Nigeria.
The cleric who spoke on “Knowing God More And More For Extraordinary, Unprecedented Exploits”, cited prophets that did exploits like Moses, Nehemiah, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Elijah and Elisha, early Apostles, Peter, Paul and others, saying, these people have gone, and the ministers are the men of the hour to do the same.
He quoted Daniel 11:32 and Matthew 10:7,8 to expantiate ministers’ commitment and consecration in doing great exploits without exploiting the weak by calling on them to sow seeds, though it is biblical but some pastors always misapply it.
Explaining further, the Deeper Life General Superintendent argued, “preachers must not exploit, don’t sell God’s blessings as healing the sick and delivering the oppressed are freely given from Him.They received them freely,so give God’s miracle freely to the people”.
The Man of God maintained that Christian ministers don’t exploit the congregation, rather, they should preach faith to the people to be saved and stand, supporting the weak people as well as cast out the devil and not allow evil ones to cast them out of Jesus Christ.
Kumuyi added, ” Go, demonstrate exploits in His evangelistic work, teaching all things commanded by Christ as He is the Lord over the priests, preachers, prophets, pastors and people. Know Him as Lord and Saviour, and Sanctifier.”
