Nigerians, including Christians have been urged to embrace genuine praise and worship as a pathway to spiritual renewal and deeper fellowship with God.
The charge was given by the Assistant Pastor-in-Charge of Region 11 and Pastor-in-Charge of Lagos Province 20 of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Tunde Netufo, during the second edition of the Province’s Evening of Hymns held at Christ the Lord Parish, Lekki held recently in Lagos.
The programme with the theme: ‘The Cloud of Glory,’ took place at the church auditorium and attracted members of the province and invited guests for an evening of worship, prayers and hymn renditions.
Speaking in his welcome address, Netufo said worship remained central to the Christian faith, stressing that sincere praise strengthens believers’ relationship with God and creates an atmosphere for divine encounters.
He encouraged Christians to continually seek spiritual renewal through heartfelt worship, noting that praise and thanksgiving remain powerful expressions of faith.

Among the hymns rendered were All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name, Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, The Lord’s My Shepherd, Crown Him with Many Crowns, Faith Is the Victory and Jesus Paid It All.
The Lagos Province 20 Choir also performed selections from Handel’s Messiah and In the Hollow of His Hands, while Uchendu Obasi ministered in a special solo performance.
The programme was coordinated by the Directors of Music for Lagos Province 20, Deaconess Debby Olutimehin and Brother Michael Otti.
