On love

Sir: From time immemorial, lovers have been both the inspirers of great literature, and the butt of common jokes.

All the world loves a lover, they say, or facetiously: “Life is one darn thing after another: love is two darn things after one another.”
But whether in fun or in earnest, there is an enormous corpus of work on love and lovers – old love, young love, true love, false love, changing love, love of man and love of God.

The great Philosopher, Plato, writing in 5th century Athens, BC. wrote: “At the touch of love, every man becomes a poet.”

There were galaxies of stories written about lovers in the days of yore.
One is the ingenious classical love story of Romeo and Juliet, written by the legendary Williams Shakespeare.

It would be beautiful and apt to round up this short but powerful theme with some highly emotional love effusions.
“I wrote your name in the sky, but the wind blew it away.
I wrote your name in the sand, but the waves washed it away.
So, I wrote your name in my heart, and forever it will stay.”

“You mean so much to me…I love you dear…
For what you are, for everything you do, for dreaming dreams along with me. And making them come true, I treasure all the things we do,
But most of all, Dear, I treasure you…”

Love is the main pivot on which the whole world rolls and breathes.
People, government, individuals and institutions should show great love to one another so that the world can be peaceful, beautiful, happy and joyous.

God is love. And there are no strings attached to His awesome and unwavering Love.
