Chief Executive Officer of Bogo Beverages, Godwin Oche has disclosed the newly commissioned facility is a testament to investment in people, innovation, sustainability and future of the nation.

Speaking during the commissioning of 80,000-capacity manufacturing facility in Ikorodu, Lagos, he said “the investment is also aimed at expanding its footprint in the nation’s fast-growing beverage industry.” He added that beyond boosting production, the project is expected to generate more than 10,000 direct and indirect jobs spanning manufacturing, logistics, distribution, retail and other supporting sectors along the beverage value chain.

Oche added that the new facility would produce a wide range of beverages, including carbonated soft drinks, fruit juices, spirits, bitters and bottled water.

Saying the N20bn factory targets the nation’s growing market, he added the facility gives the beverage firm direct access to Nigeria’s largest commercial market while also serving as a base for expansion into other African markets, including Ghana and Kenya.

Representing the Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Systems, Abisola Olusanya, said “today’s event represents much more than the opening of a new factory. This is a vision of enterprise, innovation, confidence in our economy and the resilience of the Nigerian private sector.”
