Infinity Microfinance Bank has reported strong financial growth for the 2025 financial year, with its total assets rising by 93.5 per cent to N9.7 billion and its loan portfolio expanding to N6.1 billion, underscoring increased lending to small businesses and stronger financial intermediation.
The Chairman of the bank, Clara Oloniniyi, disclosed this at the bank’s 19th yearly general meeting in Lagos, attributing the growth to improved deposit mobilisation, enhanced lending activities, prudent asset-liability management and a stronger capital position.
She said the bank remained committed to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises through responsible lending, noting that its loan portfolio increased from N3.8 billion in 2024 to N6.1 billion in 2025, representing a 57.7 per cent growth.
According to her, the bank disbursed loans worth N12 billion during the year, up 64 per cent from N7.8 billion recorded in the previous year.
Oloniniyi also said profit after tax rose significantly from N332.8 million in 2024 to N634.1 million in 2025, representing a 90.5 per cent increase.
In line with the strong performance, she said the board recommended a dividend of 7.5 kobo for every 50 kobo ordinary share, which was approved by shareholders at the meeting.
Speaking on the bank’s outlook, Oloniniyi said Infinity Microfinance Bank would continue to deepen digital financial inclusion, strengthen its risk management and corporate governance framework, optimise capital and expand its market presence.
Also speaking, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Infinity Microfinance Bank Ltd, Gabriel Adewunmi, said the bank was positioning itself to attain national microfinance bank status with branches across the country.
