Ecofitness Hub Ltd has marked its fifth anniversary with the ECO Olympics, a fitness and wellness event in Abuja where it also announced plans to open a new branch in Kubwa and launch the Ecofitters Run Club.

The event brought together members of the fitness community, partners, wellness advocates and other guests to celebrate the company’s five years of operation and outline its next phase of expansion.

Activities included fitness competitions, wellness discussions, exhibition stands and interactive sessions designed to promote healthy living and community engagement.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of Ecofitness Hub, Lanre Akinmusire, said the organisation’s focus has been on building a supportive community around health and wellness rather than simply providing gym facilities.

“Over the last five years, our focus has extended far beyond workout equipment or gym facilities. It has always been about building an inclusive and empowering community where people feel supported throughout their wellness journey,” said Akinmusire.

Akinmusire added: “As we celebrate this milestone alongside our members, the expansion into Kubwa and the launch of the Ecofitters Run Club reaffirm our commitment to making quality, sustainable wellness more accessible to people across Nigeria.”

The anniversary celebration featured a HYROX Challenge, alongside fitness contests including weighted plank, tyre roll and slam ball competitions. Participants also attended panel discussions on nutrition, mental wellbeing and fitness.

The company said the planned Kubwa branch is expected to expand access to its fitness and wellness services in Abuja and neighbouring communities.

Ecofitness also announced the launch of the Ecofitters Run Club, which it described as a community initiative aimed at encouraging outdoor running, healthy lifestyles and social engagement.

Founded five years ago, Ecofitness Hub operates as a fitness and wellness company offering coaching, fitness programmes and wellness services.
