Tinubu has rewritten Southeast infrastructural history – Nwifuru

Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi state on Tuesday expressed immense gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for rewriting the Southeast’s infrastructural history noting that the massive infrastructural development going on in the zone is a clear evidence.

Governor Nwifuru stated this while inspecting the section of the Trans-Saharan Highway comprised of 118kilometer traversing Ndibe Bridge in Afikpo, Abaomege in Onicha, Onueke, Ezza South, Ukwuachi, Ezza North, Ishieke, Mbeke, Ebonyi LGAs to its terminal points in Gboko, Benue State added that with infrastructure going on in zone, Mr. President will win southeast in next year Presidential election.

The Governor further charged contractors handling the Trans -Sahara roads to comply strictly with engineering standards and specifications thanking Mr. President for approving the construction of flyover site at Ukwuachi junction which is  designed to decongest gridlock and ensure seamless movement of commuters and road users

“We express immense gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the rewriting of the Southeast’s infrastructural history evidenced in the massive infrastructures dotting the region’s landscape” Nwifuru said.

“I am also very excited about the activities of Mr. President especially in the area of infrastructure. He  knows and understands that the sole responsibility of the government is to provide basic amenities.

“And that is exactly what Mr President is doing for us in Ebonyi State and Southeast. Sincerely the people of Ebonyi State are very grateful and President has not only shown capacity, but has shown love for us”.

He assured the contractors of the state’s readiness to tighten loose ends to ensure the project is timely completed adding that when it comes to evaluation, our people are very cooperative and we will help you in this regard.

Insisting on strict compliance to designs and professionalism, the  Governor  charged Infouest Construction Company Ltd handling phase the project to ensure strict compliance to engineering standards and specifications and ensure leakages, poor mixtures and funds diversions will not characterise the project.

The Governor used the visit to renew his call on the Igbo people to immediately close ranks and work towards the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office

Earlier, Engr Maxwell Okoha, the Federal Controller of Works in the state, explaining technical details, stated that the the flyover components of the Trans-Saharan Highway are deliberately inserted to ensure decongestion, maintain road sanity and ease transportation burdens on both the commuters and other road users and reiterated compliance to agreed standards.

Further speaking, the contractor and Managing Director of Infouest, Mr. Mustapha Mohammad told the Governor that every effort geared towards delivering the projects will be put in place.
