Members of Royal Place Ministries International (RPMI) are in high spirits as the church prepares for a special two-day celebration in honour of its General Overseer, Bishop Blessing Samuel, whose birthday falls on August 10.

His 50th birthday celebration, therefore, is being presented not merely as a birthday ceremony but as a thanksgiving for a journey that has influenced many lives.

The two-day celebration begins on Saturday, August 15, 2026, with a birthday celebration scheduled for 4:00 p.m. It will feature praise, testimonies, tributes and fellowship.

The celebration will culminate on Sunday, August 16, with a birthday thanksgiving service scheduled for 10:00 a.m., where the congregation will gather to give thanks for his life and ministry.

A close associate, speaking on the significance of the milestone, said: “At 50, we are not just marking age. We are marking grace, sacrifice, and the goodness of God. This celebration is our way of honoring a man of God who has poured himself out for the kingdom and for people. His life is proof that God still raises men after His heart.”

At 50, Bishop Samuel’s story is being framed by those around him as one of a man who has sought not only to preach faith but to demonstrate it through service, generosity, mentorship and concern for others.

The celebration is, therefore, both a birthday and a thanksgiving, a moment to honour the journey so far and acknowledge the people and lives that have formed part of his story.

Samuel is described as a minister, teacher of the Word, mentor, philanthropist and humanitarian who has devoted decades to preaching, leadership development and humanitarian activities.

The organisers said his philanthropic activities have included scholarships, humanitarian outreaches, support for widows and orphans, as well as empowerment programmes for the less privileged.

They also noted that he has mentored people who now serve as pastors, leaders and professionals in churches, businesses and communities.

As General Overseer of Royal Place Ministries International, Samuel has also been involved in crusades, conferences and media ministry, with a focus on preaching the gospel, raising leaders, strengthening families and supporting vulnerable people.
