No fewer than 15 bandits have been reportedly killed at Gamo community of Gummi local government of Zamfara State.

This medium gathered that the attack was carried out on Monday after a distress calls to the Operation Fansan Yamma troops, saying that the operation was serious as the terrorists refused to bow down to pressure.

It was also learnt that the bandits engaged the bandits on fire for fire operatioin, forcing the terrorists to reteat to the nearby forest.

But, it was not clear as at the time of filing this report, how many security operatives were killed, but reports have it that some security operatives were killed.

All necessary efforts to clearify the incident from the State Police Command proved abortive as the State Police spokesman, refuses to pick phone calls from newsmen.

Recall that terrorists have for over two decades made Zamfara State their banditry colony, which has overpowered federal and State governments.

It could be also recall that Gusau, Zamfara State capital has been a commercial center, but banditry activities have damaged business activities, making everyone to be running away from the State.
