The President of ASHE Foundation and National Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, Prince Justice Faloye has expressed concerns that the three major presidential candidates of the Africa Democratic Congress ADC, Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) and All Progressive Congress (APC) in the 2027 election, are logically chasing the same neo-colonial and neo-liberal ideological stance, creating rooms for re-enslavement of common Nigerians.

Prince Faloye stated that the three presidential front-runners, from the look of things, are mere tribal representatives of neoliberalism, causing tribal religious conflicts among Nigerian electorates.

 

In a statement he released to the press, Faloye mentioned that the neocolonial and neoliberalism agenda the three contenders are pursuing, is not just a Nigerian anomaly but an organic global exploitation of black people from slavery to colonization and now neocolonization.

 

Stating the obvious, Faloye sparks a discuss on how the three major contenders, in their manifesto, abandoned the social democracy that is pro-people, as enshrined in the Chapter Two of the 1999 Constitution, in pursuant of anti-people neoliberalism ideology.

 

He stated that the presidential candidate of Nigerian Democratic Congress, Peter Obi has not muzzled enough energy to becoming the Nigerian President in 2027, noting that, like Bola Tinubu who helped President Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammad Buhari into power, Obi is just contributing to the smooth running of the neocolonial heirarchy till a time he can claim his own turn, ‘Emilokan.’

 

“The three presidential front-runners are tribal representatives of neocolonial neoliberalism, causing tribal and religious conflict, to divert attention from Nigerians Reenslavement,” stated Faloye.

 

He disclosed that President Tinubu’s opposition proclaim the same neoliberal economic policies that he wrongly adopted, that increased poverty to 65%, making Nigeria the world’s homeless capital with 30 million homeless and with the lowest life expectancy of 56 years and highest infant mortality rate.

 

“They all rejected “Chapter Two” of the Constitution that stipulates social democracy and economic welfarism, instead became puppet slave traders in line, to continue neoliberal economic policies that devalue our income and wealth, with policies like subsidy removal, devaluation and slave plantation economics, while the originators of neoliberalism, US, spends over a trillion dollars on subsidies with UK $500 billion, as every advancing nation subsidize housing, health, education, unemployment and transport.

 

“Neocolonial neoliberalism is not just a Nigerian anomaly but the organic global exploitation of Black People from slavery to colonization and now neocolonization, which only Nigeria with its population can lead the global liberation struggle. Though obvious in Francophone neocolonies, Nigeria and other Anglophone have their political space restricted by their local neocolonial hierarchy through coloniality of knowledge and power sources,” he added.

 

Faloye noted that the West created placeholders across the political spectrum of Nigeria making the late Buhari as the Messiah of the poor North, as Peter Obi becomes the vanguard of the East, making the placeholder revolutionaries to prevent true revolutionaries from the civil society.

 

“I was part of the Obidients in 2023 and many incidents showed Peter Obi was in the election as a spoiler against Abubakar, by winning the South East and parts of South-South and North Central, to enable Tinubu win. At the start when the Obidient Movement appeared to be growing too fast, his presidential campaign director Doyin Okupe allegedly labelled the attempt to open a bank account as fraudulent. How can any serious politician not pay polling agents and not have EC 8 forms of votes at the booths?

 

“Atiku Abubakar was once a golden boy on the neocolonial hierarchy. This dates back to the early Eighties when he was Customs Chief with series of scandal allegations. It was alleged that he enriched himself through neoliberal privatization.

However, he could not surpass Buhari as the neocolonial Northern Vanguard. His penchant for not following the rules, including rotational presidency, was countered with Nyesom Wike who destroyed PDP. Obi knows in 2027, that all he needs on his mission is to take Southeast and few other places to sabotage Atiku’s chances of winning.

 

“In addition, President Tinubu is regarded as a special asset by the West, probably due to his alleged drug related past. On his return to Nigeria, he was affixed to Chief MKO Abiola, who was refused his mandate won on social democratic party (SDP) values, seen as a challenge to Western re-enslavement. Tinubu later, joined Afenifere with its social democracy and economic welfarism, promise of abundance for all. As explained by Chief Adebanjo, due to the military enforced neoliberalism that hounded out all that were left of Afenifere, the group had no choice than to use civilians close to the army to avoid banning. However, despite the decoy, the neocolonialists won’t allow Afenifere to control Lagos, the Yoruba citystate whose resources could empower Yorubas and Nigeria as a whole.

 

“So, Tinubu was backed to not only cut out Afenifere but dismember it in every election cycle. With his anti-people policies stifling Yorubaland and his neocolonial power trading, he earned his points to become a neocolonial president to push the re-enslavement neoliberal economic policies like no other, selling out Nigeria lock stock and barrel. The question then arises on how Nigerians would get out of the challenges which, like in francophone African neocolonies, pro-people politicians are kept off the political space?

Faloye also, described how South Africa embraced neoliberalism that sidetracked Thabo Mbeki and Jacob Zuma, imposing Cyril Ramaphosa whose neoliberalism fuels its xenophobia today. According to him, the first step is for Nigerians to realize that the fight for freedom from 500 years of economic exploitation never ended.

 

He stated that decolonization was just a change in the skin color of the colonial administrators, kept intact with coloniality of knowledge and power sources, adding that only a party formed on the bases of social democracy system can defeat neoliberalism.

 

Faloye concludes, arguing if liberation struggle can be won through election, while stating that it is the hubris and over exploitation of this administration, that will push Nigerians to revolution for liberation and social democracy.
