The Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Osun State governorship election, Engr. Kayode Adereti, narrowly won his polling unit, defeating the Accord candidate by six votes.

 

Adereti, who voted at Ward 03, Unit 011, Ilare, in Ife Central Local Government Area of the state, secured 132 votes for the APC, while Accord polled 126 votes.

 

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) secured 11 votes at the polling unit.

A total of 282 votes were cast, while nine votes were declared invalid.

The result showed a closely contested battle between the APC and Accord at the polling unit of the APC deputy governorship candidate.
