Adopt bipartisan approach to governance, Osun ZLP candidate urges Adeleke

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke

The candidate of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in the just concluded gubernatorial poll in Osun, John Adesuyi, on Tuesday urged the re-elected Governor Ademola Adeleke to adopt bipartisan approach in his second term in order to further enhance socioeconomic development of the state.

In a statement he personally signed on Tuesday, Adesuyi contended that the task of building Osun must now take precedence over political differences following the conclusion of the governorship election.

He noted the ZLP people-oriented manifesto  could complement the present administration’s efforts in driving good governance and impactful service capable promoting collective interest of the people.

According to Adesuyi, “The election is over, and the task of building a better Osun State must now take precedence over political differences. Osun State belongs to all of us. The success of the state should therefore be a collective responsibility.

“I would like to respectfully appeal to His Excellency, the Governor, to allow us to work together in the interest of the people of Osun State.”

Adesuyi specifically offered cooperation on implementing the party’s proposed 50,000 employment opportunities through the Agricultural Value Chain, as well as planned infrastructural interventions and other development initiatives.

“These programmes are not about political ownership. They are about the people of Osun State. If there are ideas that can create jobs, empower our young people, improve agriculture, develop infrastructure, and strengthen the economy of our state, we should all be willing to support them irrespective of the political party from which they originated,” the ZLP candidate said.

He expressed the readiness of his party to share workable ideas, expertise, and support wherever they can help make Osun State better.
