Former Governor of Zamfara State and Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, has called on the Muslim Ummah to intensify fervent prayers for the peace, unity and progress of Nigeria and for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, during the Maulud period.

Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar also urged Muslims to use the occasion of the Maulud to pray fervently for national stability and for divine guidance for the President and his administration.

As part of efforts to support Muslim faithful, during the celebration, Senator Yari donated 43 cows, 356 bags of rice, and ₦12,500,000 to 43 Zawiyyah across the 14 Local Government Areas of Zamfara State.

The distribution of the items was flagged off at the Late President Muhammadu Buhari Jumu’at Mosque, Unguwar Gwaza, by Hon. Sani Garba Gusau, Commissioner representing Zamfara State in the Federal Character Commission, Abuja and a close ally of Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

Hon. Gusau said the items and cash support are part of Senator Abdulaziz Yari’s annual gesture to Islamic groups across the State to enable them to celebrate Maulud in relative peace and comfort.

He reiterated Senator Yari’s unwavering commitment to the welfare and well-being of the people of Zamfara State, noting that such interventions are part of his sustained efforts to support religious institutions and ease the hardship of citizens.

He also conveyed Senator Yari’s heartfelt wishes to the Muslim community in Zamfara State and across the globe on the joyous occasion that commemorates the birth of the noble Prophet Muhammad (RSAW) and urged them to uphold his virtues so that the world would be a better place for all to live.

In his remarks, Liman Isah Unguwar Gwaza offered special prayers for Senator Abdulaziz Yari and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for success ahead of the 2027 general election, and for peace and stability in Nigeria.

He described Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar as a source of joy to humanity and an exceptional leader who constantly cares about the well-being of his people.
