The Accord Party candidate for the Ardo-Kola, Lau and Karim-Lamido Federal Constituency, Dr. Tijo Kenneth Mingeh, has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies and other stakeholders to ensure a free, fair and credible election in 2027.

Tijo Kenneth Mingeh made the call on wednesday outlining flagging off his campaign in Jalingo, Taraba state, ahead of the upcoming general election slated for 2027

Outlining his agenda and vision for the constituency, he stressed the need for an electoral process that reflects the will of the people.

Citing the recently concluded governorship election in Osun State, he said the outcome demonstrated the power of voters to determine the leadership they desire when given the opportunity to freely exercise their franchise.

He said voters in Osun had shown that, despite challenges, they could insist on having their votes counted and their choices respected.

Mingeh, who unveiled his four-point contract with the people of the constituency, identified security and peace, infrastructure, job creation and empowerment, as well as health and education as his major priorities.

On healthcare, he pledged to upgrade Primary Healthcare Centres across the constituency, including ensuring the availability of anti-snake venom and supporting free maternal and child healthcare initiatives.

He also promised to support educational development through programmes such as assistance with Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) registration for indigent students, among other interventions.

The Accord candidate assured residents that his campaign would be issue-based, peaceful and respectful, with emphasis on presenting practical ideas and solutions to the challenges confronting the constituency.

“We will run an issue-based, peaceful and respectful campaign. No insult, no violence, only ideas and solutions,” he said.

Mingeh expressed optimism that the voting attitude demonstrated by the people of Osun State would be replicated in Ardo-Kola, Lau and Karim-Lamido Federal Constituency during the 2027 general elections.

He urged voters to remain vigilant and participate actively in the democratic process, while calling on relevant institutions to provide a level playing field for all candidates.
