Zuma Agric Radio Commits N1million  to support Ladi Kwali festival

Zuma Agric Radio has committed N1million  to support of the forthcoming Dr. Ladi Kwali International Pottery Festival, scheduled for September at the historic Ladi Kwali Pottery Centre in Suleja, Niger State.

The support was formalised through a cheque handover ceremony to the General Manager of the Niger State Tourism Corporation, Hajiya Zainab Mohammed, to strengthen  collaboration between the two organisations towards the successful delivery of the festival.

The festival will celebrate the legacy of Dr. Ladi Kwali while promoting pottery, traditional craftsmanship, cultural heritage and tourism.

The Chief Executive Officer of Zuma Agric Radio Shuaibu Kere Ahmed said the partnership reflects  the  commitment of the station  to  rural economy, where traditional crafts contribute to livelihoods, enterprise development and community resilience

He said, “Our commitment goes beyond broadcasting. We believe in supporting initiatives that strengthen communities, preserve our heritage and create economic opportunities. We are proud to collaborate with the Niger State Tourism Corporation in supporting the Dr. Ladi Kwali International Pottery Festival.”

The General Manager of the Niger State Tourism Corporation,Hajiya Zainab Mohammed,  appreciated the contribution, saying “We deeply appreciate Zuma Agric Radio for this generous support and for recognising the importance of the Dr. Ladi Kwali International Pottery Festival. This collaboration demonstrates what is possible when institutions come together to promote our cultural heritage, support local enterprise and strengthen tourism.”

The festival is expected to bring together artisans, potters, cultural practitioners, tourism stakeholders, creative entrepreneurs and members of the public to celebrate Dr. Ladi Kwali’s enduring legacy.
