Uzodimma, Diri, Kalu felicitate Muslims on Eid-el-Maulud

Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, has felicitated the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria, and Imo State in particular, on the commemoration of the birth of Prophet Mohammed.

In a statement he issued yesterday, Uzodimma said that Eid-el-Maulud is critical to the extent that it offers the Muslim community within and outside Nigeria the opportunity to reflect deeply on Prophet Mohammed’s enduring virtues of faith, compassion, tolerance, justice and peaceful coexistence.

The governor also felicitated with President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, praying that the lessons of the exemplary life of Prophet Mohammed will inspire Muslim brothers and sisters to promote understanding, mutual respect and national solidarity.

Uzodimma’s message reads: “On behalf of the government and good people of Imo State, I warmly felicitate with President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, the Muslim Ummah in Imo State and across Nigeria, as they commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

“This sacred occasion offers a profound opportunity to reflect on the Prophet’s enduring virtues of faith, compassion, tolerance, justice, and peaceful coexistence.

“May the lessons of his exemplary life continue to inspire us to promote understanding, mutual respect, and national solidarity.”

ALSO, Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, has urged Muslim faithful to use the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad to reflect on and practise his teachings on unity, compassion and peace.

The governor gave the admonition in his Eid-el-Maulud greetings to Muslims in the state and across the country.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Daniel Alabrah, yesterday, Diri noted that the Feast of Eid-el-Maulud was a celebration of love and the virtues of sacrifice.

He enjoined Muslims to demonstrate practical love, be their brothers’ keepers and promote peaceful coexistence with others.

IN the same vein, former Governor of Abia State and Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Orji Uzor Kalu, has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah in Abia North and across Nigeria on Eid-el-Maulud, which commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

Kalu, in a statement yesterday, described the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet as enduring examples of compassion, humility, tolerance, kindness and peaceful coexistence.

He urged Muslims to use the occasion to reflect on these virtues and continue to uphold them in their daily lives and relationships with others.
