The Federal Government has announced oral examination dates for applicants seeking recruitment into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), and Federal Fire Service (FFS).
According to the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), graduate category applicants are expected to check their status from Monday, 31 August, to 2 September 2026 while those who applied with NCE, OND, and SSCE qualifications are to check between Monday, 7 September, and 9 September 2026.
This announcement follows the conclusion of physical and medical screening exercises, bringing relief to applicants who had experienced uncertainty regarding the progression of the 2024/2025 recruitment process.
In a press release signed by the Secretary to the Board, Maj. Gen. Abdulmalik Jibril (rtd), and posted on its official X handle on Friday night, the board confirmed the conclusion of the assessment and shortlisting process urging applicants to check their shortlist status for the oral interview stage.
It stated that “Shortlisted candidates are requested to select a venue nearest to them, a date and time and print their letters of invitation.
“They are also expected to print their letters of invitation and appear at the venue in strict compliance with the dress code specified in their invitation letters.”
The board stressed that only candidates who are shortlisted for the final exercise will be granted access to the interview venues.
It directed all candidates to use the official recruitment portal for all related information noting that it does not send notifications via email.
Furthermore, the CDCFIB warned; “Applicants are therefore advised to disregard any individual or group demanding payment for employment in whatever form and to report such person(s) to the nearest security agency, or person in authority,” reiterating that the entire process is free of charge.
