President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja on Sunday for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave, the presidency said.
His first stop will be London, United Kingdom, according to a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja today for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave,” Onanuga said.
The president is expected to return to Nigeria after the working vacation and join preparations for the January 2027 election campaign, the statement said.
The presidency did not provide further details about Tinubu’s itinerary or the countries he is expected to visit during the leave.
The trip comes as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, with political parties and aspirants stepping up preparations for the polls.
