Xiaomi has introduced the REDMI 17, the latest addition to its value-focused smartphone lineup, bringing together long-lasting battery performance, an immersive display, capable cameras and a refreshed design for users seeking reliability and entertainment in one device.

The device was designed to give users more freedom to go through their day without constantly thinking about their next charge, with its 7,500mAh battery. The phone is designed to stay with users through longer days, even though they engage in activities such as streaming videos, browsing social media, making calls or capturing content, With support for 45W Turbo Charging, getting back to using the device is also designed to take less time.

“Xiaomi has always been about bringing meaningful technology to more people, and with REDMI 17, we are responding to the way consumers actually live with their smartphones today,” said li shuyue, Head of Marketing, Xiaomi. “We wanted to create a device that delivers on the things that matter in everyday life, dependable battery life, an enjoyable viewing experience and features that make the phone genuinely useful.”

That focus on everyday enjoyment extends to the phone’s 6.9-inch display, which offers a larger canvas for watching content, gaming, browsing and staying connected. Its refresh rate of up to 120Hz helps make scrolling and movement feel smoother, particularly for users who spend significant time-consuming content on their phones.

The REDMI 17 also brings a practical approach to design. Its flat display and matte frame give it a clean, contemporary appearance, while a selection of colours, Black, Deep Blue, Oak Green and Lotus Purple allows users to choose a finish that reflects their personality. The addition of Dynamic RGB lighting brings another layer of expression, with lighting effects responding to calls, notifications, charging and other activities.

The device comes with a 50MP AI dual-camera system, for capturing the moments that fill the day, providing users with a capable option for everyday photography without making the experience complicated.

Underpinning the experience is Xiaomi HyperOS 3, working with the MediaTek Helio G91-Ultra platform to support everyday activities such as multitasking, entertainment and communication.

The REDMI 17 will be available in Nigeria in Black, Deep Blue, Oak Green and Lotus Purple, with three variants: 4GB+128GB at ₦213,400, 6GB+128GB at ₦271,700, and 6GB+256GB at ₦302,200.
