Zamfara Communities in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of the State, have rejected the campaign movement of the All Progressive Congress APC, in the axis, claiming that insecurity situation has overpowered both the federal and State governments in the State.

The community members were stoning the APC campaign team, claiming that they have over one hundred people in the bandits’ camps, yet the ruling party had refused to secure their release from the ravaging bandits.

According to one Hauwu Usman who granted interview to this medium, the APC campaign team came with money to be distributed to people inorder to cast their votes for the party, but the people rejected the money, demanding them to rescue their people before bringing the money.

She narrated that, a woman was machated with cutlasses all over her body as she was trying to escape from the ravaging bandits, saying that many residents ran into the forest for safety of their lives.

According to her, many community members and their families of various villages have deserted their villages to Gusau, the State capital, for safety.

She noted that, during the deadly operation by the bandits, no security operative was present to quell the dastard situation, adding that the terrorists have already mapped out the village for attack which she said that the community leaders had already informed the security agencies about the evil machinations of the armed bandits.

“We don’t have any arm to challenge the armed bandits, but we rely on the security agencies to protect us, but the protection is not forthcoming. So now, we depend on the Almighty Allah to protect us in this ugly situation”, she added.

Recall that Kaura Namoda and it’s environs have recently been the colony of banditry in the State, since the military pressures have pushed the terrorists away from Dansada area of the State.

Earlier, Dansadau used to be the colony of banditry activities in the State, where the bandits killed thousands of locals, before the Army established it’s base there to confront the deadly bandits, which made the terrorists to relocate to the Zamfara north axis, focusing on Birinin Magaji, Shinkafi, Zurmi and Kaura Namoda Local Governmernt Area of the State.
