Dangote Cement Plc is taking its investment story to the global stage, with the company set to engage international investors in London as Nigeria returns to the FTSE Russell Frontier Market indices.
The cement giant will hold a Capital Market Day in London on September 21, giving global investors an opportunity to hear directly from its management about the company’s performance, strategy and expansion plans.
The development comes at a significant moment for Nigeria’s capital market. The country’s return to the FTSE Russell Frontier Market indices is expected to renew international attention on Nigerian equities and potentially attract fresh foreign investment.
Dangote Cement, one of the largest companies listed on the Nigerian Exchange, is among the companies that could benefit from increased interest in Nigerian assets.
The London engagement is also coming as Dangote Cement advances plans for a secondary listing on the London Stock Exchange. Shareholders have already approved the proposal, paving the way for the company to deepen its access to international capital markets.
Beyond its planned London listing, the company enters the international investor engagement with strong financial numbers.
Dangote Cement recorded N2.51 trillion in revenue in the first half of 2026, representing a 21.4 per cent increase from N2.07 trillion recorded during the same period in 2025.
Profit before tax climbed 34.4 per cent to N981.39 billion, while EBITDA rose by 25.8 per cent to N1.19 trillion. Earnings per share also increased by 24.3 per cent to N38.22.
The company’s export business recorded significant growth during the period, with cement and clinker exports from Nigeria rising 62.3 per cent to 1.1 million tonnes.
Ghana, Cameroon and Côte d’Ivoire were among the West African markets that received increased volumes from Nigeria.
Overall, Dangote Cement’s group sales volumes increased by 11.8 per cent to 14.94 million tonnes during the period.
Its share price has also maintained a strong run, gaining about 69.79 per cent since the beginning of the year to trade at N1,034 per share, according to BusinessDay.
With Nigeria regaining frontier-market visibility and Dangote Cement seeking a stronger presence among international investors, the London engagement could mark another important step in the company’s push to position itself as a major African investment story.
