Singer David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has thrown his support behind human rights lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi’s bid for the 2027 House of Representatives.
In a post on Instagram, Davido stated, “My other project, Pelumi Olajengbesi. 100% winning ticket.”
Olajengbesi served as the campaign spokesperson for the re-election effort of Davido’s uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, during the closely contested August 15, 2026 Osun State Governorship Election.
On X, Davido thanked Olajengbesi for his role in his uncle’s successful campaign, which led to the governor’s re-election. Olajengbesi aims to represent the Oriade-Obokun Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
He is also the convener of the Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network in Osun State. The legal expert, who turned 40 in August, previously ran for the same constituency in 2019.
Now, he seeks to defeat the long-standing incumbent, Wole Oke of the All Progressives Congress, who has held the seat for 24 years.
Olajengbesi, a leader of the Accord Party, has emphasised the need for energetic youth representation and a break from recycled ideas.
He pledged to deliver effective representation and push development programs for his constituency if elected in 2027.
