The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Hon. Ibrahim Babajide Obanikoro, a former member of the House of Representatives for Eti-Osa as the head of its New Generation Lagos Central Zone Campaign Council.

Ibrahim Babajide Obanikoro is the Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Saneo-Olu on Parastatal Monitoring.

This is contained In a letter of appointment to the former lawmaker on Wednesday, signed by Senator Musliu Obanikoro, Director General of the Lagos State Governorship Campaign Council of the APC.

The letter read: “I am pleased to confirm your appointment as the Head, New Generation of the Lagos Central Senatorial District Campaign Committee of the Lagos State APC Campaign Council for the 2026/2027 elections.

“This appointment reflects confidence in your leadership, professional and political competence, integrity and commitment to the progressive ideals upon which our party, the APC is founded.

“Your experience and dedication will be invaluable as we work together towards delivering a credible, issue-driven and people-centered campaign for President Bola Tinubu’s reelection and Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, our governorship candidate.

“As the Head, New Generation, you will provide leadership and strategic direction to the campaign council, coordinate its activities, foster collaboration among members, work collaboratively with members and leaders to ensure effective execution of the Local Council Development Area/Local Government Area Campaign Committee’s in alignment with the overall objectives of the campaign council.

“You are expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, accountability and teamwork.”

Ibrahim Babajide Obanikoro, in his reaction, said he remained committed to the APC, President Tinubu and the state’s governorship candidate, Dr. Hamzat.

He pledged to ensure landslide victory for the APC in all elective positions in the Lagos Central Senatorial ditstrict.

“I know that President Tinubu will win in 2027, and I also know that he will win in Lagos Central and Lagos State.

“Our candidate, Dr. Hamzat, the Lagos State deputy governor, has all it takes and his records make it easy for us to market him to the people of Lagos state and to the residents.

“2027 is a walk-over for the APC,” Obanikoro added.
