THE Inspector-General of Police, (IGP), Olutunji Disu, has approved the appointment of pan-African communications expert and corporate governance strategist, Dr Nicholas Enubuzor, as Principal Consultant to the Inspector-General of Police and the Nigeria Police Force.
Under this strategic mandate, Enubuzor’s primary assignment is to lead the operational setup, technical framework, and strategic direction for the pioneer Nigeria Police Television Network (NPFTV).
In a statement made available by the newly appointed Consultant, This initiative aligns with Disu’s commitment to modernising police communications, enhancing public transparency, and bridging the gap between law enforcement and citizens through factual, proactive, and public centred broadcasting.
As Principal Consultant, Enubuzor is tasked with overseeing the establishment, technical development, and operation of police broadcasting facilities across the federation.
He will also champion specialised training programmes for police personnel across the Force’s media and public perception architecture.
Speaking on the appointment, Disu emphasised that building institutional trust requires open, transparent, and direct engagement with the public.
He noted that the NPFTV would serve as an authentic channel to highlight crime prevention efforts, public safety advisories, community policing successes, and internal accountability measures.
On his part, Enubuzor assured the Force and IGP of his commitment to the mandate pledging to deploy his extensive expertise in corporate governance to build seamless synergy and trust between the police and citizens.
“I pledge to sustain a Nigeria Police Force that is loved by Nigerians while prioritising professionalism, humanity and a world-class broadcast network, grounded in accuracy and civic responsibility,” Enubuzor stated.
