AS part of the commitments of Eko Royal Lions Club aimed at supporting education and giving back to the community, the Back-to-School Outreach Programme successfully held last week. Pupils of three public schools in Lagos: Agunbiade Primary School, Shomolu, Fadeyi Nursery and Primary School were beneficiaries.

Various Back-to-School items such as notebooks, writing pads, mathematical sets, pens, pencils, rulers, erasers, sharpeners, water bottles and snack plates were given out to the excited pupils who expressed their appreciation by dancing and singing.

According to the Club’s Communication and Marketing Chairperson, Sanni Balikis, the programme was aimed at supporting pupils, particularly those from less-privileged backgrounds, by providing them with essential educational materials needed for the new academic session.

The gesture was well received by the schools’ pupils and teachers. The pupils expressed their appreciation while the school authorities commended the initiative and support towards improving the pupils’ educational experiences.

The Back-to-School initiative provided an opportunity to support pupils in the three public schools and encouraged them to begin the new academic session with the necessary learning materials and renewed enthusiasm for their studies, Lion Balikis said.
