Dr. Obafemi Hamzat

Lagos State Deputy Governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 election, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, will lead discussions on Nigeria’s future at the seventh anniversary of Real Talk With Kike on Saturday.

The event, scheduled for October 10 at Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos, will also celebrate broadcaster Kikelomo Atanda-Owo Abati’s more than 20 years in the media industry.

The programme, themed ‘The Future of Nigeria: Where Leadership, Innovation, Culture and Media Converge to Shape Nation Building,’ will bring together speakers from government, business, the creative industry and the media to discuss issues shaping the country’s development.

Hamzat and the Group Managing Director of Mandilas Group Limited, Mr. Vlassis Liakouris, will deliver keynote addresses.

For Atanda-Owo Abati, the event also marks more than two decades of working in the media, making the celebration a milestone in both her broadcasting career and the programme’s history.

Over the years, the broadcaster has used the platform to examine issues beyond entertainment, focusing on personalities and developments influencing contemporary Nigerian society.

The anniversary will take these conversations beyond the studio, bringing the speakers and audience together to reflect on the country’s future and the role of leadership and institutions in national development.

The organisers said the choice of speakers reflects the programme’s focus on bringing different perspectives to issues of public interest.

The event is expected to attract participants from government, business, media, culture and the creative industry, including people who have been part of the programme’s journey.

The anniversary celebration is scheduled to begin at noon on October 10 at Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos.
