Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has honoured the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo with Christian ICON Award at its golden jubilee.
A statement yesterday by the Special Adviser on Media and Communications to the minister, Tunde Moshood, said Keyamo was honoured with the award on Saturday in Abuja.
Keyamo, the statement hinted, received the Christian Icon Award in recognition of his distinguished standing and contributions to the society.
“The recognition brought into focus the relationship between faith, leadership and public service, underscoring the enduring relevance of Christian values in promoting responsibility, service and commitment to the common good,” the statement added.
Moshood stated that the historic occasion brought together an array of prominent political leaders, religious authorities, government officials and distinguished personalities from across the country to celebrate CAN’s 50-year journey of Christian unity, resilience and contributions to nation-building.
Nigeria’s First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, was among the dignitaries in attendance, adding significance to the star-studded celebration.
Other prominent political figures and stakeholders from different walks of life also gathered to commemorate the milestone in the history of the Christian body.
