Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has commiserated with the Deputy National Chairman (North) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ali Bukar Dalori, over the death of his daughter in Abuja on Sunday.
Zulum visited Dalori at his Abuja residence, where he described the loss as painful and urged the family to find strength in their faith.
The governor noted that death was inevitable, particularly for Muslims who believe that every soul must taste death.
He prayed to Allah to grant the deceased Aljannatul Firdaus and give the family the strength to bear the loss.
Zulum also extended his condolences to the family of the late Sir Kashim Ibrahim, the first indigenous governor of Northern Nigeria, following the death of his eldest son, Shettima Mohammed Kashim.
The governor was accompanied on the visits by the APC governorship candidate, Mustapha Gubio; the member representing Marte/Monguno/Nganzai Federal Constituency, Bukar Talba; and the Secretary to the State Government, Bukar Tijani.
Others in the delegation included the acting Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr Babagana Mustapha Malumbe; the APC candidate for Abadam / Kukawa/Guzamala / Mobbar Federal Constituency, Fati Kakenna; and some state commissioners.
