Wear Your Skin Lagos: Reframing the conversation around skin health and confidence

The Aesthetic Clinic and Rejuva Skincare bring together clinical skincare, fashion, and cultural expression in an event celebrating melanin-rich skin.

Skin is more than a feature of physical appearance. It is closely tied to identity, self-expression and confidence. Yet, for many people, concerns such as acne, hyperpigmentation, dark spots and uneven skin tone can influence how they feel about themselves and the choices they make about their care.

It is this relationship between skin health, confidence and self-expression that The Aesthetic Clinic (TAC), in collaboration with Rejuva Skincare, seeks to explore through Wear Your Skin Lagos, an event scheduled for November 2026.

Following previous editions in London and Manchester, the event brings its message to Lagos, creating a space where clinical skincare, fashion, education and entertainment meet. Its central idea is simple: caring for one’s skin should be informed by knowledge, not insecurity, and every skin tone deserves attention and respect.

Putting skin health at the centre

A major feature of Wear Your Skin Lagos will be access to professional skincare guidance. Guests will have opportunities to consult TAC doctors, participate in skin assessments and watch live treatment demonstrations.

The programme will address common concerns, including acne, hyperpigmentation, dark spots and uneven skin tone, with particular attention to the needs of melanin-rich skin. An anonymous question-and-answer session will also give attendees the opportunity to raise questions about skin health in an open and engaging setting.

Beyond the clinical sessions, the event aims to encourage more informed conversations about skincare, challenging the idea that healthy skin must be flawless and reinforcing the importance of appropriate care.

Two launches with a focus on care and continuity

Wear Your Skin Lagos will mark the official launch of the TAC Passport, a membership benefit designed for eligible TAC package members. The Passport is intended to extend the benefits of membership across participating TAC locations, including in the United Kingdom, Canada and Ghana, subject to applicable membership terms.

The event will also introduce Rejuva Skincare’s new body hyperpigmentation range, developed to address dark spots and uneven skin tone. The launch reflects the brand’s focus on skincare solutions for melanin-rich skin and growing interest in extending targeted skincare beyond the face.

Where fashion becomes a celebration of skin

Fashion will provide another expression of the event’s central message. A runway show featuring Lagos designers will showcase collections in nude, brown and earth tones, with models representing a range of skin tones and body types.

Rather than treating skin as something to conceal, the showcase will celebrate it as an integral part of personal identity and style. The programme will also feature personal stories from individuals reflecting on their experiences with skin confidence.

Celebrated magician FaddoTheGreat will headline the entertainment with a live performance. Shopping, refreshments, networking and photography opportunities will complete the experience.

Speaking ahead of the event, Dr Ifeoma Abajue of The Aesthetic Clinic said: “Wear Your Skin is about helping people feel confident in the skin they’re in. Your skin doesn’t need to be perfect to deserve care and celebration, and we’re proud to bring this experience home to Lagos.”

Through its combination of expert guidance, fashion and personal storytelling, Wear Your Skin Lagos seeks to make skin health a more accessible and inclusive conversation, one that recognises both the science of skincare and the human experiences behind it.
