Hamzat unveils manifesto on October 30
The Director-General of the Lagos All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat (PBAT-KOH), Musiliu Obanikoro, has revealed that three million votes each would be delivered for the party’s presidential and governorship candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
Director-General of the campaign council, Musiliu Obanikoro, stated this yesterday, during a media briefing while announcing the party’s governorship candidate, Dr Kadri Hamzat‘s plan to unveil his manifesto on Friday, October 30, 2026.
Obanikoro, who disclosed that the event would be held at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts (formerly the National Arts Theatre) in Iganmu, Lagos, maintained that Lagos State is too important to be left in the hands of an apprentice, reason Hamzat fits the bill as the best candidate.
He added that Lagos State had made more significant progress with more work ahead, noting that the idea was started by Tinubu when he contested to be governor of the state in 1999.
He further said that Hamzat would build on that effort and initiative.
According to Obanikoro, the campaign is geared towards continued shared progress and inclusivity, building a stronger Lagos and improving the lives of the people.
Obanikoro said the manifesto’s launch would provide an opportunity for Hamzat to present his vision, priorities and plans for the continued development of Lagos State.
According to Obanikoro, the campaign is anchored on continued shared progress and inclusivity, with a commitment to sustaining existing development initiatives while addressing outstanding challenges across the state.
He said the campaign would focus on building on the achievements of successive administrations while ensuring that the needs of residents across different communities and social groups were reflected in the state’s development agenda.
