AN indigenous information technology firm, Kecam Technologies Ltd. has been appointed authorised distributor of GstarCAD in Nigeria, in a move expected to expand access to computer-aided design software for businesses and professionals.
The partnership will provide architects, engineers, construction companies, manufacturers, institutions and other professionals with access to GstarCAD’s design and drafting solutions.
GstarCAD is a computer-aided design software platform that supports DWG-based workflows, two-dimensional drafting and three-dimensional design.
Its compatibility with DWG files and licensing options position it as an alternative for businesses seeking to manage software costs while retaining essential design capabilities.
The appointment comes as organisations explore ways to optimise technology spending and assess software options that meet their technical and operational requirements.
Although Autodesk AutoCAD maintains a broad range of specialised tools and integrations, GstarCAD offers businesses another option, particularly for projects that rely on core drafting, design and DWG compatibility.
Speaking on the appointment, Sales Director of GstarCAD, William Wang, said the partnership would help expand the software’s presence in Nigeria and improve access for local businesses and professionals.
“We are pleased to welcome Kecam Technologies Limited as our authorised distributor in Nigeria. This partnership represents an important opportunity to expand GstarCAD’s presence in the Nigerian market and make our CAD solutions more accessible to local professionals and businesses.
“We look forward to working with Kecam Technologies Limited to develop our partner network and deliver greater value to customers across Nigeria,” Wang said.
The Vice Chairman of Kecam Technologies Limited, Bonny Mekwunye, said the appointment aligned with the company’s commitment to providing Nigerian businesses with globally competitive and cost-effective software solutions.
“Our appointment as GstarCAD’s authorised distributor in Nigeria reflects our commitment to bringing globally competitive and cost-effective software solutions to the Nigerian market.
“We believe GstarCAD offers architects, engineers and businesses an excellent opportunity to explore professional CAD capabilities while managing software expenditure. We look forward to working with customers and channel partners to accelerate its adoption across Nigeria,” Mekwunye said.
As part of the partnership, Kecam Technologies will develop reseller opportunities, engage CAD professionals and help organisations identify licensing options suited to their operational needs and budgets.
The company will also expand its distribution network by engaging software resellers, CAD consultants and technology partners interested in offering GstarCAD solutions to customers nationwide.
