
There was a fire at the clinic of Kuje Prison in Abuja yesterday.However, no life was lost in the inferno, as the fire was immediately put out, thereby preventing it from spreading to the prison.
Spokesman of Nigeria Prisons Service, Mr. Humphrey Chukwuedo, said the incident happened at 4:30pm and an investigation would be launched to unravel the real cause.
“It is not so much of an issue. It has been brought under control. The fire started at 4:30pm in the clinic of the prison.“No inmate or staff was injured and an investigation will launched to know the cause of it,” he stated.
